Resumé / BioKerby Lau
Kerby Lau Barrister is one of the few barristers who focuses on private client and trust law in Hong Kong with experience in acting in high-value probate and trusts cases. He is called to be the Rising Star for Family and Private Client because of his strong advocacy and preparedness. He was able to enter the University with a full scholarship and graduated BA (Jurisprudence) in University College, Oxford during the year 2010, and BCL in University College, Oxford last 2011 with first-class honors. He is a member of Des Voeux Chambers since 2013. His work majorly involves advisory and advocacy work in the following areas: contentious probate, wills, trusts, and estates litigation; and company and insolvency law. He has obtained high experience in providing expert evidence on HK probate and estates law in foreign proceedings and in all levels of court. Moreover, Kerby Lau's experience and skills have led him to write and contribute multiple books, such as the Company Law - Powers and Accountability and more.
