Member Posts > One of the most widely used thermoplastics in manufacturing is PEEK (polyetheretherketone), and for good reason. peek 3D printer is able to make parts with incredibly high levels of thermal, chemical, and wear resistance that are both stronger and lighter than stainless steel and aluminum. This engineering-grade material is used to make parts in almost every sector. Because of its excellent strength-to-weight ratio, PEEK is appreciated for producing better-than-metal medical implants and aircraft components. In order to conduct research on how various materials perform in the harsh lunar environment, 3D-printed PEEK components (produced by Orion AM) will actually land on the moon in April 2023.
