Check out the prototype... Realize this is running on a single box and will be slow. When we run it on the grid it will be lighting fast. There are just a lot of process intensive calculations I am doing for your portfolio to determine the risk.

Anybod... who invests in stocks, bonds, etc. are at a distinct disadvantage than the Billion dollar hedge fund guys. They have the money to buy the tools and the talent to out-trade the retail investors. They have already made their move, before the mom and pops of the world even know it is time to move.
I am going to change that with Risk X-Ray!
The software the hedge fund and investment banks use costs $100,000 - $300,000 per year. I want to build the same core functionality and give it away for FREE! :-)
My name is Jason Boeglen and I have been working in investment banking on the technology side as an enterprise architect for about 15 years. I have seen and developed all these tools for the big boys. In fact, I managed about $10 million for a hedge fund and needed these tools. I couldn't afford it so I built an entire enterprise risk platform from scratch.
It is an in-house application, that I now want to commercialize and share it with the world. I plan on using the $50,000 to hire the PHD level consultants needed to help do this work alongside myself. In addition, I am going to push it out to the cloud to make it smoking fast. These calculations take a lot of horse power and with the grid we can get there fast.
In the beginning I am going to provide portfolio risk management, factor analysis, attribution analysis, stress testing, etc.
This stuff may sound tough, but it isn't. I am going to walk everyone through to the promise land. My hope is that these tools, which are the real deal used by professionals, can avoid some of the catastrophic losses the retail investors have had to endure in the past.
Current Financial Advisers can only tell you that your risk level is conservative, moderate or aggressive. That doesn't work for the professionals, they want detailed understandings for the risk they are taking. With Risk X-Ray the retail investor will not have to settle for the vague descriptions of risk from the Financial Adviser. The retail investor will know what their exact risk is and will also be able to check up on their Financial Adviser and see if they are speaking truth to them.
So I ask you guys to help me out and commercialize this application that I have already built in-house and want to share it with the world. This application if built in my day job would cost around $700,000 to build. I know because I have built them. I have managed projects upto $30 million. So I have a lot of value to share with the world, but need some help to get us there. If everyone pitches in, I think we can really make a difference.
