Resumé / Bio Corporate finance consultant, Roger North, is a lifelong
entrepreneur who opened his first retail store in 1969. In the
1970's in Kalamazoo, Michigan, while owning and operating a
jewelry design wholesale and manufacturing company, Roger
began writing business plans and raising money. In the 1980's
Roger gave a series of seminars, "Raising Money for Music
Projects," in Los Angeles, Chicago and Boston.
In Kalamazoo Roger was the founding Chairperson of the Vine
Neighborhood Association, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit housing
corporation established to preserve historical homes. Roger
was named to Michigan Governor Jim Blanchard's Business
Leadership Council, a statewide economic development group.
In 1995 Roger was the first corporate finance consultant to
establish an Internet Web site, where he wrote "Raise $1
Million This Year - Regulation D 504 Stock Offerings" and
marketed the first direct public stock offering on the Internet,
Spring Street Brewing Co., for Wit Capital Corp.
In 1999, as investor relations consultant, Roger helped lead
Semotus Solutions (AMEX: DLK, formerly Datalink.net) from a
50c per share OTCBB stock to a listing on the AMEX. DLK was
the fastest growing stock on any exchange in Q1 2000,
reaching a peak of $88.
Roger was the initial Chairperson for the Best Practices in
Investor Relations Committee of the Investor Relations
Institute.
Since Roger and his family moved to El Paso, Texas, in 2001 to
care for elderly parents, Roger has owned and operated
Roger North Rarities, selling rare postage stamps on the
Internet, a business that continues today.
Most recently Roger was the Associate Director and
Communications Director for The Summit Leadership
Conference held in El Paso, Texas.
Roger holds a B.A. Communications, Western Michigan
University, magna cum laude, and has completed extensive
graduate work in Counseling and Personnel.
