Resumé / BioAs a therapist, I help people find or restore peace to their lives. Whether it's marriage, work, being single, spirituality, compulsive behavior, or deeply ingrained beliefs about self worth, I love to help people transform their lives to make room for effectiveness, connection, and joy.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I am a member of the California Association for Marriage & Family Therapy (CAMFT), and the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH).
After working in manufacturing (not me, right?) for 15 years, I went back to school to change careers and have been seeing clients since 2001 providing counseling to a diverse clientele. Through my extensive experience, I'm now one of the most trusted therapists in this field.
I attended Pepperdine University and trained at 1736 Family Crisis Center in California and in private practice. As a forward thinking therapist, I produce a regular podcast, "Recovery Support with Kevin Bergen" to support those recovering from compulsive sexual behavior (available through iTunes and at
http://recoverysupport.po... ).
I did graduate work at Pepperdine University after which my specialities became relationships and addictive behavior. I currently serve as the Director & lead therapist at The Center for Counseling, Recovery, & Growth.
